As a New Orleans inspired brass band, we LOVE Mardi Gras and are ready to play for your party at the drop of a rhinestone encrusted hat.
This year, we had the honor of playing at a fundraiser ball and dance party at the Scottish Rite Temple in Santa Fe. This fundraiser was hosted by the Friends of Folk Art to benefit the International Museum of Folk Art. The money raised is going to be used to pay for public school kids to ride the bus to the museum for field trips. We had a magnificent time and so did the guests.
On Sunday we played for everyone at the Canteen Brewhouse in Albuquerque. Amazing crowd. Everyone was dancing and singing and being full of energy. What a night!
Tomorrow we will be entertaining residents at two assisted living facilities in Santa Fe.
We learned a ton of material for these gigs, including some original tunes and arrangements by Paul Bossert, Liv Orovich, Alan Kapulski and Dick Rosemont.
